Nepali New Year 2070 Celebrated

Montreal, April 13, 2013 - ANQ celebrated the Nepali New Year 2070 BS by organizing a grand party at 300 Marcel Laurin, Montreal QC. ANQ members, friends and guests from Canada, France, Japan were participated and welcome the new year greeting each others

Patrick Baral, a young ANQ member, including  former president Prakash Mungrati, advisor Dr. Hemant Paudel, and former treasurer Pabitra Upadhya welcomed & greeted all the participants wishing a very happy new year and appreciated the new initiatives taken by ANQ team. President of ANQ --Muga Rajbhandari-- welcomed and extended new year wishes on behalf of ANQ, also briefly highlighted the ANQ activities and new initiatives inspiring all participants.

A short traditional Nepali cultural program was also organized. Young members such as Anjila Budha Magar, Sophee Maharjan, Isha Rajbhandari, Rista Bhusal, Regal Khanal and Sabina Shahi performed Nepali and English dances. Rishi Shrestha and Yubraj Bhandari entertained the participants singing some melodious Nepali songs. Group dances performed by various participants were enjoyable. The program was hosted by Yubaraj Bhandari, together with Geeta Baral and Sraddha Bista. Back stage arrangements including sounds system were managed and handled by four young members/volunteers – Patrick Baral, Jevin Lamichhane, Babin Maharjan and Ahysh Lamichhane.

We would like to thank all participants, volunteers who really work hard to make the event successful.
