Candlelight Vigil

The devastating earthquake with a magnitude of 7.8 struck Nepal on Saturday, April 25 and 7.3 magnitude on Tuesday, May 12, inflicting infrastructural damages and thousands of casualties. As the death toll continues to rise from these two devastating earthquakes in Nepal, the Association of Nepalese in Quebec (ANQ) would like to invite all our members, friends, family and all well-wishers to a candlelight vigil as below:

Our hearts go out to those lost or suffering in Nepal and their friends and families. Let’s pray for Nepal in this difficult situation.

ANQ - Earthquake Relief Fund

Un séisme d’une magnitude de 7.8 a frappé le Népal entre Katmandou et Pokhara ce samedi matin, suivi de dizaines de répliques d’au moins 4.5 de magnitude. Plus de 6.6 millions de personnes dans la region ont été affecté et le bilan humain de la catastrophe continue à augmenter, avec au moins 1500 morts. ANQ prie pour la santé, sécurité et rétablissement de tous au Népal et supplie à tous nos membres, familles et amis d’aider en faisant un don du montant de votre choix.

A 7.8 magnitude earthquake hit Nepal on Saturday, with dozens of aftershock tremors of at least 5.5 magnitude and greater occurring in the aftermath. Over 6.6 million people in the area are affected, with the death toll rising rapidly at over 1500.
